Street Art across the world has shown us that it can make a place appear more friendly, invite more pedestrians and even increase the sense of ownership of locals in the area.

Can we use Art to decongest our city and finally get #BengaluruMoving?

“Malleshwaram Hogona, which means “Let’s go to Malleshwaram!” is a street art project in collaboration with Geechu Galu and a community of local artists to support the Bengaluru Moving Campaign.

13 artists use graphic art as a medium to make our streets more pedestrian friendly.

A Graphical mural art trail covering a sensorial experience of walking through hidden lanes of Malgudi or Malleshwaram. Immerse in the Walk by experiencing what makes the locality special with touch, fragrances, tastes, sounds, sights and soak in the culture of the area frozen in time.

Working in tandem with the Walkable Malleshwaram -a strategic place-making projects , communities and local residents of Malleshwaram, this stitching of experiences into a graphic art trail will hopefully make you want to immerse further into this living museum.

Greetings from Malleshwaram Saksham Verma The idea of Malleshwaram is rooted in its Olde Bengaluru charm—as expansive as the area’s environmental, gastronomical, cultural, social and architectural inheritance. ‘Greetings from Malleshwaram’ is a typographic mural painted at the BMTC bus stand to mark Malleshwaram’s presence and celebrate it.
Svagata Girija Hariharan Girija hopes to represent locals of Malleshwaram, and show how they tie into the traditional, chaotic, rich tapestry of this beautiful locality. This Mural explores the changing time and welcomes you through the hidden back lanes of Malleshwaram, known as conservancy lanes.
Once upon a time there were sampige trees all around Chandana B.V. The Sampige flower is such a deep part of Malleshwaram that a main road, Sampige Road, is named after it. The many deeply fragrant Sampige trees lining these roads have disappeared. This mural is an attempt to capture the nostalgia

Putting the mull in Malleshwaram Amitabh Kumar A small hidden away conservatory lane, became the inspiration for this site specific artwork. The artist followed the light and shadow play of foliage on both the walls of the lane and built a visual narrative that amplifies the character of the place, on the walls. With layers of graphic lines, movements, volumes, iridescence and colour—the lane is a place of quaint wonder, refuge and absurd possibilities.
